U18s Secure First League Win Against Ilminster FC

The Under 18s took on Ilminster FC on Monday evening in their second league match of the season, determined to get their first league win on the board.
The boys got off to a fantastic start, showing plenty of energy and attacking intent from the first whistle. Their strong start was rewarded with a 2–0 lead, with both goals coming from Tommy Gaylard.
There were plenty of further chances during the opening 25 minutes to extend the lead, but the Ilminster goalkeeper produced some excellent saves to keep his side in the game.
Ilminster grew stronger as the half progressed and managed to find the back of the net twice, bringing the score level at 2–2 at half-time.
After the break, the U18s maintained their intensity and continued to work hard. Their persistence eventually paid off, with Tommy Gaylard adding another two goals to complete a superb four-goal performance and secure a 4–2 victory for the U18s.
After the game, U18s manager Tim spoke proudly of the team's performance, praising the effort shown by the boys and their determination to keep pushing until they secured their first league win.
The result was a fantastic example of grit, hard work and determination, with the whole team refusing to give up and battling right through to the final whistle.

Tommy was deservedly named Man of the Match after an outstanding display, scoring all four of the team's goals and working tirelessly throughout the game.
