LOCAL DERBY ENDS ALL SQUARE
A local derby that was always going to be a tough battle.
Sherborne started brightly and took the lead, and the Zebras will feel they should have been at least a couple of goals ahead before Westlands equalised from a set piece to make it 1–1 and level the game.
The second half saw Westlands make a bright start and move ahead at 2–1. With chances at both ends, Sherborne continued to push and fight for a way back into the game.
The Zebras were dealt another blow when they were reduced to 10 men for the final spell following a freak injury to their captain, coming just as the final substitution had been made.
Despite the setback, Sherborne showed tremendous character and grabbed a late equaliser to earn a hard-fought 2–2 draw and another valuable point on the board.
